We are looking for volunteers to help pick up food donations from Safeway at Falls Grove and deliver them to St. Martin's Food Pantry on Summit Ave. and Rt. 355. The Safeway food donations are non-expired excess products that the store wants to donate that morning. We pick up baked goods like bread and cakes, deli, and produce at the store’s receiving dock at the back of the store. We show up reliably on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:00 am. Most of the donations are already in boxes. We take a few banana boxes with us for loose items. We try to work in pairs, and it takes about an hour.
